The Minnesota Quality Conference is the premier yearly event hosted and sponsored by the Minnesota Section of ASQ (American Society of Quality).

The Minnesota Quality Conference strives to provide worthwhile educational opportunities for the professional development of participants, both members of ASQ as well as other professionals interested in improving quality in their work or vocation.

For those of you interested in volunteer opportunities, we have ample opportunities to participate as a member of the Minnesota Quality Conference Committee to plan and put on the annual conference. We have a small but committed membership and welcome your interest in joining us in this worthwhile endeavor. This is a great opportunity for personal growth and to work with people from diverse backgrounds! A variety of opportunities are available. A summary of the different Committee jobs and job descriptions are listed below. We are particularly looking for people to work with Publicity and Program, but if you are interested in another area, please let us know also.

Job Descriptions

Conference Co-Chairs: Responsible for the overall running of the conference to ensure a smooth-running, successful event. Coordinate efforts with Conference Vice Chair of Section.

Program Chair: Responsible for working with committee and speakers to determine overall topics and content to achieve an excellent session and workshop program. The Program Chair becomes a part of a long-range planning team as it may be formed.

Program Track Chairs: Responsible for working with Program Chair in developing assigned track topics, and contacting session speakers.

Publicity Chair: Responsible for the public relations and publicity of the Conference, including trade journals, emails and mailings.

Arrangements Chair: Works with Co-chairs, conference facility, and AV provider to determine needs and procure space, food, services and AV requirements.

Exhibits Chair: Responsible for securing exhibitors and advertisers via mailings and telemarketing.
