The Minnesota Quality Conference is the premier yearly event hosted and sponsored by the Minnesota Section of ASQ (American Society of Quality). The 2008 Conference, scheduled for Monday, October 27th and Tuesday, October 28th, will be the 55th annual conference presented. This year's conference will be held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Minneapolis. See our Section website www.mnasq.org for more information on this year's conference.
The Minnesota Quality Conference strives to provide worthwhile educational opportunities for the professional development of participants, both members of ASQ as well as other professionals interested in improving quality in their work or vocation.
The Conference consists of Day 1 - Keynote speech by a well-known Quality authority followed by multiple subject tracks in 1 hour sessions during the rest of the day. Day 2 - provides more in-depth learning opportunities with full-day workshops on a given subject. All talks are tied into a Conference theme over the 2 days. The scheduling of talks allows ample time for Networking opportunities as well as opportunities to interact with Quality-related Exhibitor companies on Day 1.
For those of you interested in volunteer opportunities, we have ample opportunities to participate as a member of the Minnesota Quality Conference Committee to plan and put on the annual conference. We have a small but committed membership and welcome your interest in joining us in this worthwhile endeavor. This is a great opportunity for personal growth and to work with people from diverse backgrounds! A variety of opportunities are available. A summary of the different Committee jobs and job descriptions are listed below. If you have an interest, please contact Wayne Ellison or Kate Swanson. We are particularly looking for people to work with Publicity and Program, but if you are interested in another area, please let us know also.
Thank you.
Wayne Ellison
